“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.”
– Elizabeth Gilber, Eat, Pray, Love
LOCATION WITH A VIEW
Jin & Kinmon tied the knot on November 15th, 2012 at the luxurious BANYAN TREE UNGASAN BALI. With breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, the resort presents the ideal Bali experience for this worldly couple.
Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Banyan Tree’s Ju-Ma-Na terrace., on the Ju-Ma-Na terrace. Perched high on Bali’s southernmost cliff, the view was a sight to behold for the ocean was so blue you could almost see into forever. As Jin walked down the blush pink petal strewn aisle in a custom fit Emmeline wedding dress by VERA WANG, we could see the adoration and love in Kinmon’s eyes. They said their vows to the sound of the ocean breeze as guests cheered in jubilee as they were pronounced husband and wife and shared their first kiss as newlyweds.
STRIKE A POSE COCKTAIL
During the cocktail reception, guests were not only spoiled with splendid drinks and hors d’oeuvres, but they got to enjoy the live photobooth station where they could capture memories that would last a lifetime. Instead of a traditional guest book, Jin and Kinmon decided that they wanted the memory to be on their tree of love. Guests were asked to write their name on a leaf and fix it onto the tree that Jin and Kinmon would later have framed and displayed in their home.
The dinner reception was an intimate affair filled with love, laughter, and fine dining. Amongst a gradient of pink floral centerpieces and shimmering twinkle lights hanging from above, guests dined and delighted in a five star menu. The glorious tropical sunset served as a perfect backdrop to the romantic atmosphere the bride and groom wanted to create. When evening turned to night and the stars came out, the bride and groom treated the guests to a special duet of the song “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” that led right into a choreographed first dance. The grand finale as they completed their dance was a show of dazzling fireworks that lit up the night sky.
